Industrial General Contractor since 1955
Ironwork that holds
the whole job up.
Structural steel erection, platforms, access steel, equipment supports — and beyond, put up by Lilja’s own ironworking crews, on our clients own schedule.
Self-performed, not sub-contracted.
Most general contractors hire their steel & ironwork out. We don’t. Lilja has carried its own ironworking crews for decades, which means the steel goes up when we say it will — not when another company’s schedule allows.
On a furnace rebuild or a plant shutdown, that difference gets measured in days of lost production. Our ironworkers work the same job as our own brick, piping, millwright and sheet metal crews: one contractor, one schedule, one point of accountability.
What our ironworkers put up.
- Structural steel erection
- Platforms, catwalks and access steel
- Stairs, handrail and grating
- Equipment supports and setting
- Plate work and miscellaneous metals
- Rigging and heavy moves
Every crew works to the same safety standard that earned Lilja a 0.66 EMR — well below the 1.00 industry average. See how we hold it.
